We Did It!

We finally did it! The Doc graduated last Friday. I say "we" because it was a family effort, even though he had to do the work and studying, of course.
I promised to show you photos of the party. My sister in law was our photographer so I'm awaiting the photos.  The above is a little sneak peek.
Boy, parties are a lot of work! I couldn't have done it by myself. I owe a lot to this lady right here.
This will surprise her because she just started reading my blog. She's a career girl who doesn't have a lot of time for blogs and such. But I may just get her hooked! ;)
Best friends since childhood, Cindy took off a week from work to help me put the party together. I was able to enjoy it while she maintained everything. In addition to the party, she cleaned my house, did my laundry and babysat my kids while the Doc and I went to various functions all week. I am truly blessed! She's the sister I never had.
What do you know? We have another graduate. His graduation is this Friday. We'll party but maybe not as big as last week. He's sporting dad's hat. Proud of him for finishing kindergarten!
My world is kind of upside down right now. We need to be moved by next month. I'll blog/visit when I can and pack when I have to.

  19. Congratulations all around! Love to see the happy faces. Reminds me of the photo I keep as the cell background, taken after my son's college graduation. Such a contented look of satisfaction on his face!

Also like the cookie bar party idea, am going to suggest it to the organizers of the event I help with.

Good luck with your busy month ahead!
    Susanne.

  23. The only criticism I have is that you did the reno and then sold the house! Devastated! I was so looking forward to reading about meals and events that you would have in the new space. I am very envious of the kitchen that you beautifully designed. I often think that if I had a kitchen like that I'd enjoy cooking a little bit more.
But I suppose the best thing is we get to experience it all again with the new (old) kitchen! Can't wait!
