Oh Christmas Tree

The tree decked in silver with touches of black.
A couple of years ago my daughter was working retail and the store was going to throw away all of these pretty silver balls left over from the holiday decor. She's been around me long enough to know trash vs treasure. So she brought home boxes of them. Love that girl!
Have you noticed how difficult it is to photograph reflective ornaments?  Hard not to make a self portrait.
This year we added black tulle, beads and ornaments. $20 for a little different look.
Our tree is skinny but tall. I love tall trees.

Podso recently wrote a post and asked, "do you decorate the back of your tree?"  Thought maybe I'd get by without it but the mirror tells all. Yikes! I see some big gaps.
Reflections...

May your Christmas be merry and bright!

  1. This is beautiful, Tammy! I also love the diamond shaped paper you have used to wrap boxes with.
Normally I don't decorate the back of my tree because it is in a corner, but after taking pics this year, I have some naked spots. Were gonna make do tho! See ya at the party.

  12. Your tree is so elegant!

Its a shame, but in a good way for those who can take advent age of it, how many really nice decorations retail just g throws out! I have the most luxurious gold garland because my Mom got before a retailer threw it out. I mean commercial gar lad, like the silver balls, is better stuff than they let Joe Average buy!

  21. When I first read "black" on a Christmas tree, I wasn't so sure. But combined with silver, the black on your tree looks fabulous! I especially like how you wrapped the gifts too. It all works so beautifully in the room!
