Has anyone had to buy more storage from Google for photos on Blogger? Hoping I didn't get scammed. I can download photos from other sources, but not my own. It also takes 24 hours to complete the purchase process. $5 for 20 GB, automatically renewing each year. I'll have to watch my billing. What a pain.
I hope each of you will enter this GIVEAWAY. For those who facebook, please go like E.W. McCall. All for a good cause!
I also had to pay the same amount for extra space. Just 5 dollars per year and they took it automatically
ReplyDeletefrom my account.
Now I have lots of free space, blog till I drop..

Yes I did~along time ago. I never used to resize my photos, so I was loading and storing huge sized pics! I think I had to be billed twice so far in two years...not a scam.
ReplyDeleteI have heard people talk about that in the past. I have never seen it come up on mine, but I only use Picasa and windows for my photos.
ReplyDeleteI've not seen anything yet. I resize all of my photos before posting. Maybe that helps.
ReplyDeleteyikes! Haven't heard of this before. I will be sure to resize all of my images from now on. .Thanks for the heads up!

I liked them! I hadn't heard of this either, thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteYes, I did this quite awhile ago. I resize pics, but I still leave them pretty large because I can't stand tiny pics on blogs. :-) It's not a scam, but I don't remember it being an annual charge. I think mine was just $5 for lots of additional storage. They may have changed their policy on that, though.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this, but need to check into. Seems pretty reasonable for all of the space. Happy Thursday!!
ReplyDeleteOh my, say what is right. ;) How do we resize in order to avoid this?
ReplyDeleteLOVE the black and white floors. DREAMY.
Enjoy your day, Tammy. Always great stopping by.
Much love!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI did know that there was a storage limit but I always re-size my photos.
They are all low resolution...
Gabriela
I haven't had to pay it yet but I'm getting close... very very close.
ReplyDeleteCute chair! I use Picasa and have never had any problems with this. :D
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy,
ReplyDeleteI have heard of others having to do this, it's too bad you have to spend the money though, eh?
I love today's image.
Have a sweet day, Cindy
I did last year and did not use anywhere near the amount I paid for but they just yesterday made me buy more so I do think it is a bit ridiculous since I still had plenty of space left. I guess now I have even more space.
ReplyDeleteI think resizing your photos to lower resolution helps a lot with storage --- makes posting faster too. They still look pretty good.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Never heard about this. I use Picasa - love Picasa- and always post large photos. Do you feel a bit uncomfortable with a company automatically billing you and having access to your account? I'm sure it's fine but I'm just a worry wart.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this before. Thanks for the info.

I don't resize my photos before posting and I don't think I've paid any extra money...but I haven't been blogging that long and my posts aren't all that regular. I use Picasa so I wonder if that makes a difference? Who knows? It's always something. :o)

ReplyDeleteI had to pay the $5 fee after only 2 months of blogging! My photos are huge and I hate to resize, I have already been billed again at the one year mark. And no, I'm still not resizing, but I should be!

I've heard something about this before, but I haven't experience it yet. Let us know what you find out.
ReplyDeleteHello Tammy,
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of that.
I'm considering converting my blog to a .com by a host that Blogger uses for $10.00 a year.
You might want to check into it yourself.
Enjoy your weekend! :)
Yes, I did that too a few months ago. It actually does give you a ton of space!
ReplyDelete-Shelley
well aparently we both hit our limit at the same time!!! I had to do the same thing just yesterday!
