My beautiful red head.
Thanks for all the support and compliments on my photography yesterday! There is so much I need to learn. Starting a blog has forced me to take better photos. I never retouch photos for the blog but I've been having fun playing around in picnik with my kids' photos.
Speaking of photography, I recently picked up 3 vintage cameras for $10 each! This is one of them.
I loved Polaroid cameras when I was a kid. The instant photo was great. Do you remember blowing on the photo to speed up the drying process?
I'm thinking of how much film I would have wasted the other day. So nice to be able to see the image before we even print it!
We've come a long ways, baby!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteShe is gorgeous! Love this old camera!
Gabriela
Your daughter is just beautiful. She has such a classic air about her.
ReplyDeleteI love the old cameras as comfy old show pieces, but I agree with you about digital being such a blessing. I know mt photos are better because I can do it until I get it right and know tight away it's right!
Beautiful daughter you have. One of my sons had red hair and has since change to blonde almost overnight. I kind of miss my cute carrot top.

Oh my goodness! I love old cameras. I'm not sure why I hesitate to buy them when I see them! Your pictures are great, and the kids adorable...your daughter is lovely! Love the one you picked for your Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteYour young lady has flair...our next beautiful model! Love the camera! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes,
Loretta
wow, awesome find on the camera! I've been thinking about getting my husband something like that for Christmas.

Photos are looking good. I had zero interest in photography before I started my blog. We have come a long way...especially me! I still have polaroids in my old picture box. They have faded but still look OK. Thanks again for sharing your daughter. Loved seeing her.
ReplyDeleteShe is stunning Tammy! Love the photos!!!
ReplyDeleteLou Cinda :)
When I started taking photos at the age of 10, I took very few due to the cost of film and inexperience as well. My hubby gave me a 35 mm. camera in 1978 and boy, did I have to pick and choose what I took pictures of. For years. I am so thankful for digital cameras - so easy, so much cheaper, so many more photos!!! It's a whole new world baby. LOL Blessings,

I initially thought the first pic was a professional shot! Great model and great photography.
ReplyDeleteLove the red locks and the "Ruby slippers." :)
We still have a polaroid somewhere in our house. And yes, I do remember blowing on the pics.
Your daughter is gorgeous! She has such an easy smile. Love vintage cameras! Being from Rochester(birthplace of Kodak,) I have quite a few. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is a beauty for sure! I'm still jealous of her hair. LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat find on the cameras. They really add alot to a vignette.
Great pictures! The top one of your daugther is stunning! I like what you did in picnic with them. As far as the cutting off of the head, cropping that way is done a lot I think, at least I didn't think anything of it when I saw it!
ReplyDeleteMy word, she is not only a beauty, but so photogenic! You did do a fabulous job photographing your kids.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs, Cindy
Beautiful daughter ~ love her hair! I think it was fascinating for all of us to have the Polaroids...first time we could see the pics immediately. :-)
ReplyDeletePat

Thank you so much for finding Dovecote Decor through Art by Karena. We are so excited to be giving away this gorgeous chest. I tried to follow you back, but google would not let me. I'll be back. I envy your red wavy hair. Speaking of which, I spotted Princess Beatrice of England, with that same head of hair at dinner in Paris, Saturday night. We felt so chic!!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Liz
That is really pretty red hair. My mom has to dye her hair red.
