A Stroll By The River

The Savannah River runs through downtown Augusta, GA. After having lived in Savannah, we were a bit disappointed to visit downtown Augusta when we first arrived. It is a much smaller river walk and there are no cute shops nor fun restaurants, at least directly on the path.

The positive thing is it's not a touristy place No crowds. A really peaceful place to go for a leisurely walk.

or a relaxing place to sit.
Most of you will probably not come to Augusta unless you are planning on going to the Masters so I'm sharing some scenes from our recent family photo jaunt.
I wonder if someone who plays in the Masters owns one of those lovely homes over there?
The neighborhood we live in was planned by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player. The Champions Retreat Golf Course is located in the gated part. {I live outside the gates.} Membership to the club is by invitation only.  We haven't received an invitation yet. wink wink
My pick is the pink house.  It stands out from all the rest.
It's been a while, but Happy Pink Saturday!

  11. I had to laugh what you said about the "invitation". These houses are humongous, and yes the pink one is my choice too. I wonder who lives there ^_^

  15. I keep waiting and hoping the folks of our fair city will do something with the river that runs through it. There is so much special potential there but it seems those in charge just "fight" all the time. Your walk is very pretty and your children very good looking. Love her red hair! HPS

  16. Though crowds and Savannah's river front are fun to visit. I think overall I prefer the quiet walk you have so beautifully photographed. (not to mention how nice your kids' photo is!)

  17. What a beautiful neighborhood beyond the river there. Your kids are more beautiful, though, your pretty girl and those handsome boys. Your photos are great, girl, they really are.
    Love and hugs, Cindy
