I love tufting, too! Great post!
Love it! Looks so plush and cozy!
Interesting--gorgeous photos! It reminds me of "re-tufting" my porch cushions after I washed the fabric. It took two of us, but I learned a lot!
What a lovely collection of pictures! I tufted an ottoman that I made a few years ago and getting the tufting spaced evenly was so hard. I have such a respect for the upholsterers who can make those fabulous headboards and sofas. Thanks for sharing.
Tufting has always been an elegant way to cover things. My mil was an upholsterer and I helped her. She created some beautiful designs using tufting.
Tufting is so rich isn't it? Anything tufted goes to the next level in elegance~you have some great examples here. And some of the wall treatments are incredible.
Here in San Diego at our one of the Crate and Barrel stores they had a ice lilac head board that was tufted with grey accents accented with mirrored side tables and cozy bed linens that looked like something out of a 1940s Hollywood movie. It was stunning.
Thanks for sharing.

I love tufting...especially the headboards!
I love tufting and one of my daughters has a tall tufted headboard... in a bedroom, the tufting in/around the bed softens the looks and dampens the sound. That rug in the first sofa photo is fab!
Have a wonderful week!

Fabric headboards are so pretty and tufting makes them even more so. Love the pictures!
Every now and then someone does a post and I can feel my heart coming out of my chest and this morning you did that!!! These photos are to die for!!!
I am so in love with anything tufted and would love
a headboard!!
Thanks Tammy this was a fab post!!!
How elegant and gorgeous! And I love the two little Shih Tzus puppies. Precious. Love this! Have a happy Monday, Sweetie:)
Hello my friend,
I LOVE the pink tufted headboard and foot-board! Tufted is definitely back in, I remember the 70's when it was in, I wish I did have that green one, what a nice feel that would give a room.
Gorgeous images, all of them!
Hugs, Cindy
That indeed is a gorgeous look. We almost bought a tuft back leather couch, it was gorgeous, in fact you can look it up on restoration hardware..well anyhow, it was so uncomfortable we could not bare the feeling. Now I would love a headboard like that!
Oh, beautiful examples of tufting!
Wow what beautiful photos and those headboards are gorgeous!! Thanks so much for the sweet comment you left on my foyer and becoming a follower I really appreciate it, Martina
PS- following you back!
Gorgeous pictures, love them all!

That first photo is amazing...the color combo and luxurious velvet. I have a tufted black leather chair that is my favorite place to blog. Guess where I am sitting?

I love the look of tufting. It reminds me of my Grandfather, who was a gifted custom upholsterer. He did the most lovely tufting on his pieces. Thank you for showing all the beautiful examples of this fine work. Terri
Gorgeous post! I'm in love with the blue couch and the yellow curtains! Such a stunning combination! Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog... I've actually already been following you so that works out well!
I left you a comment under Beatrice Banks. A story so graceful and full of humility, it made me cry. I am soooooo very thankful I took the time to read it.
My Grandmother Minnie had a beautiful velvet, white, tufted headboard and a bright red tufted chair that accomdated her short legs. Only one time my cousin and me were allowed to sleep in her bed and we felt like royalty.
On that glorious green velvet tufted VINTAGE headboard, you could recreate one with those end corners being the hardest part and if you just happened to be at an estate sale that had green velvet big drapes...that is kinda like the the show on HGTV where they see a designer room for 15,000.00 dollars and up and they recreate the room for 3,000.00 or less...then the designer of the showroom comes to their room and tells them how they did, both good and bad...that would be a fun job.
Looking forward to our friendship growing.
Have A Sugar Sweet Day

They look so cozy. I love the silver wallpapered room. Think someone will redo my room while I'm out grocery shopping? Hmmmmm...

I just adore tufting. I don't have anything tufted in my home, but maybe someday....
I've recently fallen in love with tufting, too. We bought a bed for our master that is tufted. I feel like I'm sleeping in the clouds!

I have always loved tufting, I saw a white tufted rounded sofa at our local thrift shop for 75.00 but thought about it and went back the next day and it was gone, it was not dirty but the shade or texture was not perfect and I had to think about it.......someone else snatched it up...... I am going to tuft my ottoman that I am building and I will see how hard it is.

Great photos! Love the tufting on headboards....and sofas too. Very pretty. The pink bed is over the top!
What awesome photos!! I love vintage green tufted headboard!
I love tufted anything! Tufts are a classic, indeed. My favorite is that gorgeous green velvet couch, love it!!!
I would love to come down south and work in your garden.....I missed my calling. Should have been a landscape designer!
Hi Tammy
I'm not sure if you except blog awards or not, I recently received the Stylish Blogger Award and I am passing it on to you!!!

I adore anything tufted! I was able to snag a green velvet tufted bench from a garage sale a couple years ago, and just love it.

I have a little vintage pink tufted love-seat that u would probably love.....Thanks for visiting my living room today, ur sweet comments are so welcome........Bonnie
I love tufting too! I think my dream headboard would be a white/ cream tufted headboard. The couches are great too!
These are so beautiful. I love them with velvet. I think my home needs some tufting.
Cheers,

These were so much fun to look at - not sure which one is my favorite. Years ago I took an upholstery class and my first project was to recover a chair of my grandmothers which had 50 tufts - what was I thinking! Anyway, I enjoyed your post so very much. Thank you for stopping by to say hello.
It's not just the room that's elegant. Even the dogs haircut is fancy.
