On the Steps and B List

Flowers and greenery say welcome...

Blue Pueblo

If you follow me on Pinterest, you know I love porches and steps on a house.
BHG
Today I'm pulling up photos of planters to get ideas for my porch. My walkway is narrow so the planters will have to be small. But these give me great inspiration.

While researching, I stumbled upon this breathtaking porch and home. It belongs to fellow blogger Rhonda of A Blissful Spirit.  Of course, I'm adding her to my B list!

Her backyard is just as pretty.  Be sure to look at the transformations. I would have never guessed this porch looked any other way.

B List and Penny Tile Floor

I love to find new blogs and see the creativity of talented people. If you haven't already discovered Happyroost Interiors, hop on over and meet the lovely Laura. She's an interior designer who is restoring her very own 1923 Sears Kit home.
Isn't it beautiful?
What caught my eye recently is her bathroom remodel.
Wow!

Now I know you've seen the penny floors if you stalk Pinterest. They intrigue me.
This is Laura's. The best part is she has promised a tutorial for it!
Check it out next week at Happyroost Interiors!

B Listed

...on the B List.
You probably have already met Ann from On Sutton Place.  She is just the sweetest thing ever. We met when she first started blogging.  You know those people who just set their minds to something and  make it happen?  She's one of those.  She was actually asking my advice back then.  Now I'm the one who needs to be asking her advice.
Ann has a new Etsy shop.

The girl can sew some pillows!  I should know because she made me this one.

Love it!  As you can see, the family loves it too and has already used it quite a bit.  Yes, we use our pillows around here.

I was in the middle of contemplating painting my dining room navy blue when I saw Ann's navy blue cabinet. Confirmation.
I've always been a sucker for navy blue. Come to think of it, there's always been a shade of blue somewhere in every house I've lived in.

Thanks for your inspiration Ann!

Found another sale today at Hancock Fabric.
$6 per yd. Yippee!
Any guesses as to what I'm doing with this?

My best friend is coming to stay with me this weekend. Going to be fun. Maybe she will help me complete my project!
Have yourself  a wonderful weekend! See ya next week!

(In the process of moving, I lost my B List schedule. If you were scheduled, please let me know.
Thanks so much.)

B List and a Friend

And on the B List today is...
Oakview Cottage.
This blog belongs to a beautiful lady named Cindy.  Cindy is one of those people who truly blogs for the joy of it.  She is sweeter than the goodies she bakes!

She always finds ways to be creative, like sewing ruffles on a t-shirt.  How cute is that?
Sometimes in life, you meet friends in unexpected ways.  I'm thankful.

Many days she has sent me words of encouragement.

We have many things in common and
have promised each other that we will meet in person, some day, some how...

I've got a feeling we could write a book!

Take a moment today to send a message to a special friend!

Gift Wrapping

Via
I love it but usually only do it at Christmas.  With a pile of graduation and wedding gifts to wrap, I'm thinking a gift wrapping station could really motivate me to create fancy packages.

The Artists on B List

Via
Have you ever wondered what makes a person an artist?  Like how does the brain work with the hands to create art?  My mind can think of a lot of things but being able to create it with my hands is another story.
Via
I'm thinking you either have it or you don't.
In my opinion, these 3 ladies being featured today, "have it."
(Sorry it has taken me so long to get to the B List, ladies.  And to those still waiting, thanks for your patience.)

First is Amy of Maison Decor
I know most of you already follow her. Don't you enjoy reading her blog?
She's been painting a lot of furniture lately and giving us great how-to tips.
She's an interior designer,
 draws sketches,
and designs window treatments.

Amy has great talent and is a genuinely sweet person!

Next up is Jana from Collected Treasures.  She defines herself as a true romantic and old soul.  She owns an antique shoppe where she transforms the expected into the unexpected with her artistic ability.

Look at these beautiful handbags she made.

She is quite the seamstress.
She pays attention to details.

Go visit Jana.  She is such a gracious lady.

Then there is Carol from Carol Schiff Studio.  Carol is an incredible artistJust look at her work.

Aren't those amazing?  Go check out more of her art.  Carol is one of the nicest artists you'll ever meet.

There you have it.  Makes me want to pull out a paintbrush!  Think I'll wait until the kids come home so we can do it together.  That way no one will know which one is mine!
