Houndstooth.

It's one of my favorite fabric designs. Timeless and classic. Take a look at these images from Better Homes and Garden.  The chair should belong to me.  It even has my monogram on the pillow.
Houndstooth is not relegated to black or brown.  Check out the red.

And what about houndstooth at Christmas?

Look at this cute package trim from A Gift Wrapped Life.  If you haven't visited this delightful blog, it's a must.

More cute packages from Jaimee Ross at AZCentral.

Houndstooth can blend with multiple patterns.  Aren't these stockings adorable?

Here's my little version of Christmas on my houndstooth bench/ottoman.  All from Target. How's this for a thrifty find?
(ottoman less than $100)

And maybe if I'm really good, Santa will bring me a new coat from J.Crew.

I love houndstooth! My Aunt recovered a couch in black and white houndstooth in the late 60s when she tired of it she passed that sofa onto to her daughter who when she tired of it passed it on to her daughter. That sofa still looks modern and fresh today....it can go traditional, modern, eclectic, country. She was smart and used a very good grade of fabric and it's held up all these years. There were times I wish it would come to live in my house.

We were in a model home and the familyroom sofa was in Houndstooth. It made the room feel very rich and cozy at the same time! Great inspiration photo's!

I remember having a navy and white houndstooth suit for Easter when I was 7 or 8. I loved it! It's such a classic look.

Love the ottoman from Target. I have the same in a turquoise. I was just about to order one online when I found it--for almost $300 less than the one online!! It was a happy day.

Best,
Bonnie

Lovely! A classic that does need to be used more. Thank you for your kind comments. I think we are a match since I will be decorating yet another home (this one) with what I have on hand.

I am a lover of all things houndstooth. It MAY have something to do with the fact that I'm addicted to the University of Alabama football! Last year I got a divine houndstooth coat that I adore... My girls have houndstooth ruffle pants...the list could go on and on. I wanted this fab houndstooth chair I found while visiting my BFF in Utah, but everybody else vetoed it.... It was FINE... I should've bought it anyway. :) Paula Prass has a line of fabric that has houndstooth in every color you can imagine. It's fun.

Hello my sweet friend,
Houndstooth really is beautiful, it's not a pattern that I have ever given much thought to, though. I love your houndstooth stool, it's gorgeous!

Those stockings are really cute. I love all the detail that want into each one of them. I always enjoy the artistic level that comes with making stockings. There's always so much create to each stocking.
