Architectural Arches

Arches.
Not the golden ones.
(One of my reasons to blog is to have a diversion from chicken nuggets.)

I'm talking about these-

And these from House Beautiful...

One of the first things that drew me to our last house (The Brownsfield) was the architectural elements.  Lots of arches. I love for an element to be repeated.

Arches don't always have to be on walls.  Arched windows and doors are pretty too.

Coco Cozy featured this beautiful house back in April of 2009.  Love all the trim work.

Did you know they are offering 50 chicken nuggets for $9.99 at the "Golden Arches?"
Don't tell the kids.

Good Morning Tammy Sweetie...
Arches? Oh my gosh are these ever beautiful. I really love the pale green walls with the arches. That one just jumped right out and grabbed me. A beautiful share my sweet friend.

50 nuggets for 9.99 - oh I can afford to feed the grands at this price.

Have a beautiful Tuesday sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

I guess I never paid that much attention to arches, but now I'm going to be on the lookout for them. I like when there are multiple arches in the houses. You picked some great examples.

Love all your arches. The Golden Arches ones are my kids favorites and the $9.99 special is about the same price as the Tyson one's they eat at home. I do think MickeyD's have a better taste.

I love every one of them. It adds so much character. My contractor trimmed the arch into my bathroom and boy did it make a huge difference! Now if I could just figure out how to get arched windows! lol
Have a great day!

Beautiful collection of inspiration photos! I especially love the groined vault ceiling arches. I think adding a few curves into a rooms architecture really softens up a space. Thanks for sharing.

love the arches...both kinds! I used to detest McD's as a child, until they brought out the nuggets, then it was true love!

Hello sweet B,
You are so right! Arches are one of my favorite architectural elements. I love all of your photos, especially from your house. They are all gorgeous!
Belgium decorating often features arches in the hallways like the ones you showed today.

I have a bit of an obsession with arches, too, but not the Golden ones. We don't have any in this house, but I'm hoping we will find some, or at least something to work with, in the next house. I'm your newest follower.

I love arches too...so pleasing to the eye. There are many buildings here in Utah that were built by pioneers with this type of design..so solid and so beautiful :D

Love all those arches...you know Tx. always does the typical front porch arch...I have one...I also have some in the house and from the looks of your pics....I need to dress mine up!

I love that first photo. Love arches in homes. I have two. My house used to have three....one at each end of the kitchen but a previous owner expanded the length of the kitchen by incorporating the back hall. So the wall got taken out and too the arched doorway at that end of the kitchen. As much as the extra cabinet space was needed in the kitchen and I have every bit of it filled....I'd rather do without cabinet space and have kept the original arch. If I won the lottery....I'd switch it back to how it originally was. All of these great photos. Love the photos of your previous home.

Ohhh my...sooo many beautiful and inspirational photos of arches! They are certainly divine...aren't they? While traveling through Europe, I marveled at all of the fabulous arches in their architecture...truly magnficent!
