Sectionals That Are Pretty

Rue
Sectionals can be functional but not always pretty. We love to entertain so I've always thought a sectional would be a great piece to have.  But I could never get past the boxy-ness of them.   Until now...

We had one many years ago and i loved that Don and I could both lay down and watch TV. Of course, that was before Lazyboy recliners.

Hello sweet B,
Who knew? Wow I have always felt the same way that you expressed today, but after seeing these images, I may have to rethink my bias! I think a person would still have to very carefully think the thing through and measure everything before purchasing one. I adore the grey one with crimson pillows! The second image is also gorgeous!
Have a lovely day, my dear friend.
Hugs, Cindy

Good Morning Tammy Sweetie...
Oh my gosh what a beautiful share this morning. You know me, I am a wild child, so could we meet in the Zebra room for tea tonight? I have always wanted to go on a safari. I think this is as close as I will ever get.

Another beautiful share my friend. Hope you have a beautiful week. Today I am at Mardi Gras. Come on over and see.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Thanks for the comment on my painting! And now I am officially obsessed with the pleats on the side of that first sectional. I wonder if I could add that to the side of a bench. Love it!
P.S. Following you back!

Hey these are fun to see. Our kids are always after us to get one for better use of space and more sitting area, but like you I always think of them as taking up too much room. These are all interesting, and I guess I like the white slip covered one the best--PB maybe? The last one is very elegant.

Tammy: I especially love that Audrey Hepburn hanging in the first photo! And, the sectional tucked under the stairway.

I used to just hate sectionals but they can be so pretty now a days as you've shown here. I do think I could live with one. I love the wallpaper in photo 6.

Tammy,
Your making me want to decorate and move sooner than anticipating. Love the victoria one, I could see a pine dining table next to the one near the staircase. Would make a cozy dining area.

Great post!

Thank you for your kind compliments regarding my book of prose, which was so sweetly shared at Ms Bee's blog :)

I enjoyed reading this post...it brought back memories of our family's first sectional piece...ah, thank goodness my design sensibilities have ... "matured" lol

Hi, thanks for being my newest follower! It would be my pleasure to return the favor. I see I have a lot to catch up on with your blog posts. Love the white sectional, with the pleated material on the sides. Very pretty! Then again, I am a lover of white. Now, as far as the grey one, Oh my gosh! Talk about make a statement when you walk in the room. It really has the WOW factor.

I don't think there was one there that I don't like!

We just finished our basement and I think a sectional would be a good fit. The ones you have pictured here would get trashed by my kids and their friends, so I'll have to look for one that's attractive AND durable. :)

I would love to have one of those white sectionals in my family room. With something like that my hubby and I would spend more time there, it is in our basement. The room with the white fireplace is my favorite.

Sectionals are just to big. I'd rather have two small sofas in a room. If it works for your room then by all means but it's not my personal taste.
