April Showers

Via
Tis the season for rain showers.
Umbrellas needed.

One day while browsing in GW, I found this large vase.  It was only $12 so of course, it came home with me.

It's about 2 feet tall and very heavy.  I decided to use it for an umbrella holder.  I'm working on my very small entry space and will show you in a week or two.

Gathering inspiration.

I have wanted a spot for my umbrellas for so long. Your pictures are inspiring me to look for something that can hold traditional black umbrellas and kid's sized Barbie umbrellas! Love the vase/umbrella holder you found- looking forward to seeing your entry space.

We rarely use umbrellas in southern California, so ours are stored in a cabinet most of the time. I must say, however, I am rather jealous of your new umbrella stand. I am also looking forward to seeing your new entry!

We rarely need an umbrella, however your new vase will make a fabulous umbrella stand. Can't wait to see the entry. Hugs, marty

Great Goodwill find! Beautiful inspirations photos. We have a small entry. I keep our umbrellas in a vase like yours, but in our coat closet. Can't wait to see your entry!

This is so great...I don't think there is anyone who wouldn't want an adorable umbrella holder. I might actually be inspired to finally get one. I have a few umbrellas that were gifts and I really should do something with them. One has pansies on it and was my mother-in-law's. Thanks for another great post. ~Ann

I'll say it again, you find the most incredible inspiration photos! You can pack a lot of drama in a small space. How sweet is that shopping buggy with the flowers inside? I like to see dressers used in an entry. They look great and are very practical! Can't wait to see what you do! XO

Beautiful images! I have a large wicker urn shape basket that is used for umbrellas. Here in Michigan we get rain all the time. Except for last night. We got snow! Argghh!!

Great find, B. There is something very welcoming about an umbrella stand. Guess it says, "Come in out of the rain." Ha! Not that we have seen any rain here in months.
Beautiful inspiration photos. Love the idea of the tulips in the umbrella on the door. ;-)

Your post gave me a good laugh. You see, I love umbrella stands but I have no need of one. I leave an umbrella wherever I go. Therefore, I have none to put in a stand. It's truly amazing that I cannot hang onto an umbrella for more than a couple of rains.

Best,
Bonnie

lots of great inspiration there...I love that first umbrella...might have to use that idea for the white lace parasol I have in the guest room just sitting in the corner.

You also reminded me I have a coat rack I need to redo...

Thanx for sharing Kelsie

Bonjour ~ That green umbrella on the door is just the sweetest spring decorating idea that I've come across. First thing in the AM, I'm off to the second hand store to find just the right one for my front door! Thanks for sharing ~ Au Revoir

I do have a place for umbrellas in my entryway. Your ideas are wonderful.

I also have to say that I have a beautiful vintage umbrella in my Etsy shop that reminds me of some you showed.

Thanks for sharing a neat post and some wonderful inspiration photos.

I live in CO. We don't have umbrellas here. We're usually so grateful for the rain that we just get wet. This is also a fairly casual state. Most Coloradans wouldn't freak out if their hair got wet. All your pictures were fascinating and beautiful. I kind of want an umbrella now.

Love that top pic especially. Umbrellas: such a challenge when you get into a car with a wet umbrella. Seems you get as wet as you do when not using one. But a long walk in the rain? That's different!

I liked the 4th image best. But who knew umbrellas could look so great?? You! You do the best posts!

I love that umbrella filled with tulips on the front door! What a joke, here they are calling for a freezing rain/snow storm tomorrow. Geesh!
