A Military Birthday Party (part 2)

Lots of loot at this party.

Bags were waiting to be filled with Cracker Jacks.

Love this playground.
Do you know how hard it is to take pictures and be a party hostess at the same time? Seems like I missed some cute things but it's hard to get every moment captured.

Fun and games-
We started with lunch. The hats would not stay on of course, but they had a "blast" with the other army gear- dog tags, canteens, binoculars, aviator sunglasses and a watch.

Next was war face painting and army "tattoos."

An obstacle course.
We also hid army men, like an Easter egg hunt.  96 soldiers to be found. I'm sure children playing on that playground today are finding them everywhere.
The biggest "hit" was the nerf gun target shoot. A prize was given to the one who shot down the most cans.

It was too chilly to have water gun fights.

Does anyone have a solution for this?
My little pouter.

I know what will cheer him up. Presents!  Look at how creatively a mom wrapped this gift!
He received 7 toy guns! Guess everyone was in the same frame of mind.

A gift bag was given to each troop upon departure.

What was inside-

I just can't wait to...

Now if I were a boy..I would have been the happiest boy on the block to have a party like this one...and I have to agree with Elaine on how cute that pouting face is..one for the scrapbook for a quick reminder when dealing with his own boy someday!

I wish I knew a mom, who has a little boy, who needs a birthday idea for him - because I'd surely send her to these posts. I'll be keeping my ears open. :)

Tammy your did an amazing job on his bday party! Everything is so cool and I bet all the boys had such a great time! Maybe he was just reflecting on all the fun instead of pouting. :)
Everything is just perfect.

My goodness, girl, what an honorable and amazing mom you are! You should write your own how-to-host-parties book...hmmm, an idea maybe?

This is wonderful, Tammy. I went through Part 1 earlier this week and now Part II and LOVE the theme and all the creativity. I wish my 22 y/o son was still that age so I could copy all this. He still loves all the bells and whistles set out for him every birthday though. Men...eternal boys. :)

Happy birthday to the cute pouter. ;)
Much love,
Marcia

Thanks for stopping by my blog. It's nice to meet you! I must say you are super creative with this birthday party stuff!! I'm blown away (no pun intended) at the neat games and gear and giveaway bags you provided all in the military theme. Love it! I did this once for my first son (who is now 17) when he was little and we had alot of fun, but not sure it was as put together as yours. Thanks for sharing your great ideas.

What a fabulous party, so much detail. My son NEVER had a party that compared to that. Poor Noah, looks like he was getting overwhelmed or just overtired, one.
Your little fellow must have been pretty happy, though.
Love and hugs, Cindy

What a lucky boy! That party was fabulous and so creative for little boys. The clever food ideas made me laugh, like the Twizzler rope! So cute.

Glad that he had a smile at the end of the day!
