Wall Art Gallery

Need to fill up a large area on a small budget?
Make a wall gallery.

I bought these book prints at Winterberry Cottage on etsy.

The matted frames were puchased at the Christmas Tree Shop. (Caution- cheap frames are hard to hang straight. Some of them are different sizes and hangers are in different places. Nothing like a photo to help you see things. I've since gone back and straightened up some of these.)
For less than $100, a big wall is amply decorated without a lot of fuss.

In case, you missed a previous post, the houndstooth ottoman came from Target.
I'm a little unsure about the durability since so many prop their feet on it but... that's what an ottoman is for so we'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Three years ago my living room looked like this-

We moved and leased out the house. Tenants destroyed it, especially the floors. So we came back and continued the wood throughout this room too.

(stain is a blend- 1/2 pecan, 1/2 ebony.)

I'm amazed at how much larger it made the space feel.

More details to come.
Other sources in these photos-
Sofa: Craigslist
Rug: JC Penney's
Vintage Style floor lamp:  The Christmas Tree Shop (only $16!)
Red tray on ottoman: Ross
Circle pillows: Target
Chevron pillow: Tuesday Morning's
Silhouette pillow: A Cozy Cup of Tea
Paint color: Sherwin Williams Pediment

Looks great. I love those cute prints. I know what you mean about cheap frames being all different. That was the case in my dining room with my gallery wall. Get what you pay for I guess.

Your living room is sooo beautiful! I love the wall of pics. But, what really caught my eye is the floor...the dark stain really pop against the light walls and makes the room look larger.
It was good you could come in and repair what was destroyed! Hugs!

I love your living room, your colors are great. And that gorgeous floor! The art gallery looks wonderful, I love the images in each of them. Your living room is very comfortable looking, my friend, the perfect place to curl up and read a book or simply chat with a friend. I especially like the white leather recliner, that is so beautiful!!!

LOVE the ottoman. I think that's my favorite thing with those circle pillows a close second. You have done such a good job making this place your home again. You should be really proud of yourself...have a great weekend!

Hi Tammy, firstly I must say...WOW, I love your gallery wall and living room redo! Just gorgeous. Secondly, thanks so much for leaving such a lovely comment on my blog and becoming a follower. And last but not least, I can't believe that ottoman is from Target - obviously the range at Target is much, much better than what's available in store here in Australia. I look forward to reading many, many more of your posts. Lee

Great idea and it looks great, My parents always put little knobs of some sort of clay (I'm sure it was for frames) that kept the pictures in place on the wall.

Tammy, the room looks great! Good job! Love the ottoman, too. I've got two in our family room, and I'm with you, we'll just enjoy them til they soil or wear out, then get more!! I've heard of using the sticky velcro on the backs of pics to help them stay straight.

Happy PS!

Nothing is more fun then having a picture of a cow on your wall. I have one on my wall and everyone always makes a comment about it.
