Say It With a Card...or a Tag

Make yourself happy when you shop at Cards by Carla!
Carla is another one of our generous sponsors in the $125 giveaway for Beatrice Banks.  She is graciously offering the lucky winner a $20 gift certificate to her Etsy shop.

I love her tags!

Need some for Easter?

So many beautiful tags-

The little robin is my favorite.  It's what drew me to her shop-

If you've bought a greeting card lately, you know a pretty one will cost over $5.  Carla offers beautiful handcrafted cards for $5!  Who wouldn't want to receive a gorgeous handmade card rather than the generic store bought ones?

She puts such effort and detail into all of her creations.

Carla also has a blog- Paper Pastorale.
Being a follower will give you another chance in the  giveaway

We can live and learn from others who have experience.  Carla offered some great words of wisdom when I asked her to share blogging tips.

This is what I've learned. When I first started my blog, I posted about 360 days a year for two years. I was on a lot of design teams, and I needed to use and show the product I received for free. This eventually became incredibly overwhelming, and I wound up taking almost a year off from my blog. I am slowly trying to get back into it and show a little moderation this time. My advice is simple: Do not let your blog control your life.

When asked do you have advice on how to keep up with blogs, her reply was-
I have no helpful advice on this question. I don't know how people keep up with so many blogs. I will say that if a blogger is only commenting in order to get comments, then it's just not genuine. Do the best you can. Blogging can be edifying and fun, or overwhelming and stressful. Guess who gets to decide which one it will be?

Hmm... I think I know the answer to that one.
Smart chick!

Thanks Carla!

That is very good advice. I am tempted sometimes to go exploring at new blogs but then I think about how I don't get to read all of the ones I enjoy now. Occasionally I find a new gem and it gets added to my regular places to visit. Much easier to manage that way.

The tags are lovely. I'll have to check out this Etsy store. Mine is so new I am learning so much from others.

I love all those beautiful tags...such fun!

Great blogging advice... at first I felt "I had to" blog everyday but it took so much of my time away from my family so now I blog when possible and comment when I have the time! It should be fun not a demanding responsibility!

Hugs,
Dolly

Hey Tammy...these cards and tags are adorable! Your give away is one of the best I've ever seen. The blogging advice is good too...I can't imagine posting every day for 2 years. I think I would go brain dead. I'm getting better at resisting the urge to blog for hours. I love my blog and the people I have met are amazing...but there just has to be some sort of balance. That's a hard thing though...Hope your weekend is good! ~Ann p.s. Still haven't heard from Marina. I'm really getting irritated!

Such beautiful tags! I love her words of wisdom, too. I've been playing catchup with my blog reading this week, because the kids have been off all week for spring break. Definitely want to keep things fun, not stressful. I just have to remember that blog reading is what I like to do, not what I have to do. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a very wise woman! I think I actually like tags better. Seems to be more uses for them. Like using them for bookmarks.

Hello my dear friend,
Those tags are gorgeous! Her blogging advise is very sound, that's why I only blog three times a week. I find that if I don't have time for life, I have nothing to blog about!!!
Love and hugs, Cindy
