Thanksgiving is over but I'm grateful each and every day for my family. This past weekend a favorite uncle of mine passed away. Yesterday sitting in the middle of church, a wave of grief swallowed me up. It was so overwhelming I almost bolted outside. But then my little boy climbed in my lap and squeezed me real tight. A gentle reminder that life goes on, it's short and I must make the most of it.
To save money this year, I decided to be my own photographer. I'm known to cut important parts out of pictures. Like a head (see above.)
Let's just say this one was making a game out of it but we didn't care as long as he was happy. He is so proud of his first missing tooth on the bottom.
You probably already know that 13 year old boys do not care about taking pictures.
Smiles from Mr. Handsome only come when not posing.
And the princess. Isn't her hair amazing? Not only is it an unusual color, it will do just about anything. She loves to twist it in all kinds of crazy ways. I think she should have been born in the 30's or 40's. She loves everything about that era.
Somewhere in the batch of 100 + photos, we'll select one for our Christmas card.
I really do have 555 reasons (and then some) to be thankful.

Tammy -- your children are gorgeous and your photos capture them beautifully. Sorry to hear of your uncle's passing - may you be comforted by your memories :)
Blessings!

Those are wonderful and your kids are beautiful!....love your choices in backgrounds. Yes, her hair is incredible, she is one lucky girl to have all that gorgeous hair!
Gorgeous Family!
Wonderful photos of your beautiful children. I cut off heads, too.
What wonderful pictures!!! Your children are beautiful!
Beautiful children! Looks like each one is full of personality. I know you count your blessings each time you look into their eyes. I'm sorry for your loss. But the joy of children in one's life helps heal that pain. Take care ~ sarah
Beautiful! For some inexplicable reason many of our childhood family photos feature a holdall (bag). I think my Dad used to put it down to take the picture and always managed to get it in shot.
xx
What a lovely family you have...they are all precious! This is the first year I am not making a card with a picture...the kids are just too old! Well, they think they are! ;-D
Hope you have a great week!
XO,
Jane

You are such a talented photographer! The last one of your three beautiful children is my favorite!!
Beautiful photos! I've been struggling with my teen to get a smile out of him for the Christmas card. I'm trying again tomorrow. Yours came out great! Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful job on the photographs. Any one of these would be beautiful on a card.
Great family photos ~ so true about getting the best shots when they aren't posing. Is it wrong to be jealous of your daughter's hair? I can only dream of such hair styles.
Have a great week ~
Jo
They are soooo cute and have such beautiful smiles...what lovely children! Hope your week a great one! Hugs and Best Wishes...
Those are fabulous pictures, and I dare say as nice or nicer than professional shots. I prefer more candid, caught in the moment shots =)
You're photos are wonderful! You have such cute children and I love your daughter's hair. I always wished I had red hair.
And...if it makes you feel any better, my kids aren't very cooperative with picture taking either.
What a sweet family you have! You did a great job on the photos. Your daughter's hair is truly gorgeous! Blessings,
Pamela
Beautiful pictures! That first one is precious!
Hello dearest B,
Your photos are fabulous!!! You really should try your hand at photography, they are lovely. Of course it helps when you are working with such handsome boys and one beautiful girl. Her hair is amazing, I love it, she is such a lovely girl. I'm so glad she was home for Thanksgiving, that must have made your day so happy. I'm sorry to hear that your uncle passed away. Your youngest is such a darling, they grow up so fast!
Love and hugs, Cindy
God is so good,
Hi, Tammy! What precious kiddos! A dear family friend once told my daughter that she had "Heaven Hair" She said, "That's the kind of hair I'll have in heaven!" This has become a favorite family saying. I'd say your daughter has "Heaven Hair" as well! She is just beautiful! And your boys are quite handsome as well!
Dear Tammy,
You did a great job!
I love the one with the stockings in the background.
Having our little party this weekend.
Thank you for all of the advice.
You did good taking the pictures. I like them all...your little man likes to have his picture took....he was doing some good posing.
Tammy, she's gorgeous! And you have two very handsome young men! I feel very special to be related to such a good-looking and sweet family. Love ALL the photos - even though you cut important parts out of them...LOL.
Tammy, what a lovely family! I'm sorry for the loss of your uncle, but I know you are making wonderful memories for your family as he must have made for you. Enjoy the season!
Oh my gosh...I loved seeing your family. The red hair is incredible! We have always taken our own pics for Christmas cards. Some years were better than others! Seems anymore when I get a Christmas card without pics I'm disappointed...hope you had a good Thanksgiving.
The top of your son's head chopped off, works for that photo. :)
Keep up the good work with your photography!
Tammy,
Love the photos! Your children are beautiful and so photogenic! I do small photography jobs on the side and completely adore it! There is nothing more rewarding then sitting back and looking at all your prized shots.
Wishing you a great week!
Jodie
Your photos and your family are beautiful! So sorry about your loved one passing.
Hugs,

Your pictures are gorgeous, your children are gorgeous...and well, you know, I am partial to red hair! :-)
So sorry to hear about your loss, Tammy, but happy to see how God uses something as simple as a smile. Your children are gorgeous.
Keeping you in my prayers.
Your pictures are great! I must say, your girl is absolutely beautiful - love her hair, and her outfit is just so cute =) The guys are handsome, too ;)
